Analysis of bachelor’s training quality in 2021 in the National Transport University according to the results of the examination commissions head reports

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the quality of bachelor’s training based on the results of obtaining the bachelor’s degree in 2021 at the National Transport University. Full monitoring of the results of the reports of the chairmen of examination commissions was performed, quantitative and qualitative indicators of attestation of applicants of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education were determined. Ways to improve the quality of training of applicants for the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education at the National Transport University for the 2021-2022 academic year are proposed. The object of research in the article is the quality of training of applicants for the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education at NTU. The purpose of the study is to analyze the quality of bachelor’s degree training in 2021 and to develop proposals for improving the educational process at the National Transport University. The article analyzes the quality of bachelor’s degree training in 2021. Indicators are established by forms of higher education and in terms of faculties / centers. It is determined that the average quality indicator according to the results of attestation of applicants for full-time higher education at the National Transport University in the 2020-2021 academic year was 91%, success rate – 98%. The average quality of training of applicants by correspondence was 85%, success rate – 98%. Thus, the monitoring of the reports of the chairmen of the examination commissions showed that the level of quality of training of applicants is quite high. In addition, the reports of the chairmen of the examination commissions noted that all previous remarks and recommendations on the quality of training were taken into account. Measures to improve the process of preparing bachelors in order to improve the quality of the next academic year are proposed. In particular, at the university level it is necessary to expand the objects of undergraduate practice, their geography; to increase the validity of the chosen topic in terms of a specific educational program; pay more attention to preparing students in the ability to do business communication, present a report and conduct a business discussion; to ensure compliance of reviewers on the subject of qualification works; expand the use of modern applications. At the level of departments it is necessary to prevent the use of outdated software; to plan the subject of qualification works taking into account the possibility of implementing complex projects; pay more attention to the design of the explanatory note and illustrative material; to strengthen the requirements for the content of qualification works; when updating exam tickets, strengthen the practical component of the questions to be answered by students, follow an innovative and creative approach, etc.
