Abstract
The article is devoted to the theoretical and practical aspects of the main approaches to evaluating the performance of enterprises. The work examines the essence of the main approaches to performance evaluation, highlights specific conditions and possibilities of their application at motor transport enterprises. The relationship between the strategy, goals and performance criteria has been established. The object of the study is the process of evaluating the performance of motor transport enterprises. The purpose of the work is to analyze approaches to evaluating the performance of motor transport enterprises based on the analysis of domestic and foreign scientific sources and international concepts. Research methods are general scientific. The issue of assessing the effectiveness of enterprise activity is relevant and timely in modern economic conditions, because the role of management efficiency from the point of view of effectiveness is increasing. Performance monitoring is used to ensure that the management of the enterprise is carried out in accordance with the set goals, policy and development strategy. It creates prerequisites for ensuring highquality management processes at all levels, namely: it contributes to the information provision of the management decision support system, helps to solve a number of business tasks. The results of research by domestic and foreign scientists in the field of evaluating the performance of an enterprise allow us to identify the main approaches to its evaluation: the concept of value-oriented management (VBM); the concept of quality management (TQM); the concept of management by objectives (MBO); process-oriented management (ABM) and modern risk management (ERM). Planning, monitoring and evaluation of the performance of enterprises should be based on the achievement of defined strategic goals
