Determination of free production potential of enterprises car service for creating self-service posts

Yurii Savin О. Parkhomenko

Abstract

One of the ways to more fully meet the needs of consumers in car maintenance and repair services, and to improve the efficiency of the work of car service enterprises is the creation of self-service stations at free production facilities of enterprises. The methodology for determining the appropriate free production potential of car service enterprises for the creation of self-service stations is given, depending on the cost of a standard hour of performing maintenance and car repair work and other factors. The object of the research is the creation of self-service car stations at existing car service enterprises. The purpose of the work is to determine the amount of free production capacity of car service enterprises for the creation of self-service stations. Research methods - collection and processing of statistical information on the loading of production capacities of car service enterprises depending on various factors, mathematical modeling of production processes. It has been established that the conditions for the creation of self-service stations at car service enterprises are the presence of a need for services, the affordable cost of renting the stations, and the availability of free production potential of car service enterprises. The demand for self-service cars is constantly growing, which is caused, firstly, by the crisis in the economy, which is accompanied by a decrease in the income level of the majority of the population, and secondly, in recent years, the cost of a standard hour at most authorized service companies has increased almost 4-5 times . Due to the high cost of services, former customers of service centers are forced to postpone car repairs or look for a more affordable alternative. The results of calculations show that the possible cost of renting self-service stations is almost 1.5-2 times less than the cost of services in an independent service, and 4-5 times less than the cost of services in an authorized service. This cost of renting posts should be attractive to customers when servicing and repairing their own cars. Based on the results of the research, it was established that currently the production facilities for car maintenance and repair in most car service enterprises of Ukraine are loaded by 40-60%, which is due to a significant decrease in the number of new car sales and the number of customers. Therefore, the issue of increasing the efficiency of the use of existing production facilities is acute at most car service enterprises, one of the ways is the creation of self-service stations at existing car service enterprises. When determining the possible number of self-service stations, the use of the average coefficient of utilization of the production capacities of the enterprise due to its random nature is economically impractical. It is shown that there is such an optimal free capacity, i.e., the optimal load factor of the production capacities of service stations for the creation of self-service stations, at which the total potential losses from not providing maintenance and repair services for customers' cars will be minimal. The results of the article can be implemented at existing car service enterprises. Prognostic assumptions regarding the development of the object of research - the creation of self-service stations at existing car service enterprises.
