Concerning the conditions of traffic flows on the network of public roads

Inna Vyhovska

Abstract

Every year changes: the level of motorization, tasks performed by vehicles, management methods, volumes of traffic that lead to traffic jams. The model of the distribution of traffic flows on the highway network due to the reduction of capacity or the closure of traffic on one or more stretches of the highway network has been developed. A mathematical model of the optimal distribution of flows on the network of public highways, both in terms of route length and travel time. Purpose: Improvement of the methods of distribution of traffic flows in the event of negative effects of closing sections of the network and the need to fulfill the target function of transport. Object of research: the movement of traffic flows. The distribution of traffic flows, obtained in the form of traffic intensity values going along parallel routes, is at the same time the optimization of the distribution of the traffic flow bypassing the traffic obstacle, that is, those routes to which the transit traffic flow for this section of the highway network will be directed will be optimal detour routes.
