The maneuverability of motor train with trailor category O1

І. Chovcha

Abstract

The article defines the maneuverability of the road train on the rigid lateral wheels of the traction vehicle and trailer category O1. Object of research – indicators of maneuverability of an automobile traction on lateral rigid wheels of a traction vehicle and trailer. The aim of the work is to determine the maneuverability of a road train with a single-axle trailer on rigid lateral wheels. Methods of research – analytical, comparative. The use of motor vehicles is characterized by a wide variety of human production activities. One of the current types of such activities is the transportation of passengers and goods. If the issues of transportation of large cargoes are studied well enough, then for the transportation of light cargoes, for which light-duty road trains with simple single- or two-axle trailers are used, the issues of maneuverability are not fully studied. Studies to date have shown that the maneuverability of a road train can be preliminarily determined by rigid wheels in the lateral direction. The error in determining the overall radii of rotation, dimensional lane and displacements of the trajectory of the driven links relative to the leading does not exceed 15 %. The normalized value of the overall lane for the actual design parameters of the road train, taking into account all its possible limitations (the base of the tractor, the location of the coupling point, the length of the trailer drawbar, the base of the trailer) can provide the road train under consideration. The maximum GSR for circular traffic of a road train does not exceed 5.0 m. The obtained values of the dimensional lane of the road train do not take into account the lateral removal of tires, which can significantly affect (within 13 %) both the maneuverability and stability of the road train. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the maneuverability of the road train on the elastic in the lateral direction of the wheels and set the limits of the model of the road train usage on the rigid wheelsin the lateral direction to determine the maneuverability.
