Essential characteristics of environmental and economic management’s mechanisms

Abstract

The article is devoted to research and definition of essential characteristics of mechanisms of ecological and economic management. The proposed basic model of environmental and economic management. The specifics of environmental and economic management tasks are explained. It was found that the achievement of the set goal by the system is solved through a number of principles, methods and management mechanisms. The division of mechanisms into level and subsystems is considered. The functions of mechanisms for managing the sustainability of the ecological and economic system are defined, which are considered at three organizational levels of management: state, regional, and local. Mechanisms of ecological and economic management of ecological and economic systems can form a single mechanism of management only under the condition of their integrated use. Object of the study: mechanisms of ecological and economic management. Purpose of the study: an essential characteristic of the mechanisms of ecological and economic management. Method of the study: theoretical generalization – in clarifying the content of the definition of « management mechanism», ecological and economic system»; synthesis – in the development of basic model of environmental and economic management, systems of ecological and economic management mechanisms. It is analyzed that enterprise and environment, which plays an important role in the complex model of environmental and economic management, is an integrated environmental protection refers to the company's environmental policy aligned with the top priorities of companies. Thus, the enterprise shows maximum initiative in reducing the burden on the environment, which is expressed in its use of environmentally friendly technologies, raw materials, waste, etc. The proposed basic model of environmental and economic management. The specifics of environmental and economic management tasks are explained. It was found that the achievement of the set goal by the system is solved through a number of principles, methods and management mechanisms. The practical significance of the obtained results of the research lies in the presented proposals of effective forms of mechanisms of environmental and economic management. The distribution of mechanisms by levels of management organization makes it possible to determine the competences of management bodies of each level within their ecological and economic systems. In addition, it facilitates the work of coordinating the interests of management bodies and increases the efficiency of their work. The use of the proposed system of management mechanisms contributes to more effective management of the sustainability of the ecological and economic system, as well as the planning of its indicators for the development of development programs for the enterprise.
