Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of trends, benefits, risks and value potential of using quantum computing in the automotive industry. Object of study – the value potential of quantum computing in the automotive industry. Purpose – to analyze the benefits, risks and value potential of quantum computing for the automotive industry. Methods of research – analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization, graphic. The article examines statistics on the volume of motor vehicle production in the world and Ukraine. The actions of the players in the automotive industry regarding the study of the possibilities of quantum computing and its use cases were analyzed. Key areas of application of quantum computing in the automotive industry were determined. The value potential of using quantum computing in the automotive sector has been found in research and development, product design, supply chain management, manufacturing, and mobility and traffic management. Six key factors determining the speed of adoption and efficiency of quantum computing were identified: funding, affordability, standardization, industry consortia, talent acquisition, and digital infrastructure. Measures for participants in the automotive industry regarding the transition to quantum computing were proposed. The prospects for the revival of the automotive industry in Ukraine were considered.
