The importance of professional competence of staff in competitive conditions

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to reveal the essence of the conceptual requirements for professional competence, to identify and study a set of professional competencies of the personnel of the transport company in accordance with the requirements of the market business environment. The article considers the main requirements that contribute to increasing the quality of personnel of the transport company. Possible components of professional competence of the enterprise staff are described. The significance of the study lies in the understanding that the staff is the most important part of the final product, one of the main resources of competitive advantage and success of the transport company. The quality of service at the enterprise depends on the professional competence of the staff. This proves that professional competence is a kind of measure of the level of professionalism. The result of the activity and prestige of the transport enterprise depends on an effective personnel management system. Properly chosen approach to personnel management will allow companies to attract competent, talented employees and reveal their creative potential; create conditions for continuous staff development and opportunities for personal self-development. Because it is the professionalism of staff, its level of competence depends on the success and profitability of the transport company. Results of the research. Professional competence should contain a moral, personal and social component and be formed on the basis of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The main components of the professional competence of staff are a number of key competencies that ensure the efficiency and competitiveness of professionals. Professionally competent staff ensures high work efficiency in a competitive environment. Conclusions. Professional competence of staff is a professional and statutory opportunities for a person to exercise his powers in professional activities; it is a wide range of professional knowledge, skills and abilities that can be used in different situations. The professional competence of the staff must include a personal and social component, which is determined by the activity of the individual to work together in a team and achieve the goal. The professional competence of a specialist is formed on the basis of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, significant personal qualities and life experience, which determines his readiness to perform professional duties and ensure a high level of self-realization and competitiveness.
