Features of formation of innovative trends in the tourist sphere on the basis of modern consumer needs

Abstract

The purpose of this scientific article is to analyze the peculiarities of the formation of innovative trends in the tourism sector based on modern consumer needs. Research methods: theoretical-methodical – to establish scientific opinion on the development of the tourism sector of Ukraine; analytical – to determine the behavioral changes of consumers of hospitality services; SWOT analysis method – for the formation of general determinants of opportunities, risks and prospects for the development of the tourism sector of Ukraine. Results. The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the modern hospitality market. Currently, all sectors of Ukrainian tourism are beginning to gain momentum before rising and overcoming the crisis. The main obstacles that hindered the development of the tourism sector in Ukraine until 2019 were mainly political, managerial, economic, environmental and cultural factors. Covid quarantine restrictions have been delayed in the world's tourism industry. The impact of the Covid19 pandemic on the behavior of hospitality consumers has been identified. The pandemic has significantly affected the hospitality industry and has given impetus to innovative changes and the development of digitalization and the formation of new areas of tourism. The main determinants of opportunities, threats, risks and prospects of the tourism sector of Ukraine have been identified. The analysis of the current state of socio-economic development of the country has identified a number of challenges, the main of which are: low production efficiency, which is based on technical obsolescence and high level of depreciation of fixed assets and imperfect technologies. The population of Ukraine has a low level of income. It has an inefficient sphere of production and has no funds for social needs. Factors affect the development of the tourist product. Significant territorial disparities in the level of socio-economic development of cities and other settlements, primarily in the social sphere and so on. The main priority areas of the tourism sector of Ukraine, which in modern conditions meet the needs of consumers of hospitality services, are studied. It is established that modern tourist products have an ecological character and a close connection of the tourist with the natural resources of the country. Therefore, the article proposes innovative trends that became popular during the pandemic and formed a new direction in the development of the tourism sector of Ukraine.
