Abstract

The article investigates the theoretical and practical principles of the financial support of the communal enterprises’ activities, analyzes the financial and management activities of communal enterprises in the Transport Industry. Based on this analysis, the key problems of functioning of the communal enterprises in the Transport Industry are defined and the main measures to address these problems are identified. The object of the study is the financial support of the communal enterprises’ activities in the Transport Industry. The purpose of the study is to research the theoretical and practical principles of the financial support of the communal enterprises’ activities, highlight key issues of their operations and identify key long-term objectives and ways to improve the efficiency of the financial support in modern conditions on the example of communal enterprises in the Transport Industry. Method of the study – method of generalization, analysis, economic and statistical methods. The main indicator of socio-economic development of the regions of Ukraine is the efficient and stable functioning of communal enterprises, as their activities are aimed at providing comfortable and safe living conditions for all residents. In modern economic conditions, the state of the communal enterprises has a critical level of development, such enterprises can not secure the sufficient income, requiring regular subsidies from the city budget. Therefore, the full implementation of the functions of communal enterprises requires adequate financial support and an effective mechanism for managing the activities of communal enterprises, which would support their stable development in the future. The article considers the main sources of financing of communal enterprises, the formation of their revenues and expenditures, analyzes the current financial and economic condition of communal enterprises in the Transport Industry, assesses the level of public financial assistance and corruption, explores the management system. According to the results of the research, the existing reasons of difficult financial condition of the communal enterprises in the Transport Industry are identified, which are due to the imperfection of the management system, corruption schemes, inefficient use of budget funds, inadequate control over compliance with legislation, etc.; the main perspective tasks and directions for improving the efficiency of financial support, improving the management system and development of the communal enterprises in the Transport Industry, covering a wide range of management and financial and economic measures, an important basis for which are transparency and openness. It is this position, firmly rooted in the daily activities of the communal enterprises will help them be resilient to any structural changes. The results of this study will help to form an effective model of financial support of the communal enterprises in the Transport Industry, which will be a prerequisite for their development.
