Анотація
Motor transport plays an extremely important role in the modern life of people, providing a relatively quick and convenient transfer of the population, the movement of goods and ensuring the logistical needs of 99 the modern economy. It allows maintaining the supply of goods and services necessary for the functioning of society. However, along with all these benefits, there are challenges associated with road transport, such as air pollution, traffic jams, accidents and other problems. Therefore, it is important to develop and implement innovations aimed at reducing the negative impact of road transport and supporting sustainable development. There are many areas of development to reduce the negative consequences of the motor vehicle sector, among them the transition to environmentally friendly energy sources (hydrogen, helium 3, green energy, etc.) and the development of infrastructure for bicycle transport (EUROPEAN DECLARATION ON CYCLING C/2024/2377) and others, including self-driving motor vehicles which the author considers in this article. The article considers various aspects of the transition of road transport to unmanned driving: the development of environmentally friendly vehicles, economic advantages, social effect, preservation of life and health. The transition to driverless driving for road transport is a complex task that requires the efforts of all government bodies and society. However, this task is necessary for the preservation of life and health of people, protection of the environment, strengthening of the economy and innovative development of the state
